The final Make Sunday Special event of 2014 took place last Sunday (7th September) on the streets of the Old City and attracted many people to a mix of live music, entertainment, circus performers, fun and activity on our streets. The event completed a monthly run of five events in 2014 beginning in May.
We’d now like to review how successful these events have been and would love to hear your views on Make Sunday Special
We’re interested in the views of people who attended the events and those who didn’t attend one of the dates but would still like to give their views. As with our 2013 evaluation, we’ll be publishing a summary of the findings as we consider how to move forward with the initiative in 2015.
Make Sunday Special in 2014 included some memorable moments and partnered with other initiatives such as Luke Jerram’s Park & Slide on Park Street which attracted tens of thousands of people and secured national and international coverage for Bristol. June’s event combined with Park on Park Street – an initiative of the traders of the street – and also attracted thousands of people and much acclaim.
Make Sunday Special is a mayoral initiative which draws on successful experiences from other world cities of closing streets to traffic and opening streets to people, culture, new experiences and fun. The events aim to work closely with local businesses to ensure they also benefit from the thousands of people these events can attract to help boost Bristol’s economy
Thank you for your views in our survey. We look forward to reading them.
